HOW TO REFERENCE REPRINTS OF LITERARY WORKS

In-text citations

Write the surname of the writer, followed by the reprint year and the page number where necessary. If the literary work is older and you did not read the original edition, then you may refer to the original year of publication in your own text.

Example
The Old Man and the Sea (Hemingway 1990), published in 1952, is a very thought-provoking novel.

Reference

Write the surname and initial of the writer, followed by the reprint year. Write the title of the work in italics, a full stop, then the place of publication followed by a comma, and finally the publisher.
