HOW TO REFERENCE STATUTORY INSTRUMENTS

 

In-text citation

 

Write the title in italics followed by the date.

 

Examples

In this case, the intervention team followed closely the procedures outlined in the National Emergency Regulations (2002).

In this case, the intervention team followed closely the relevant procedures (National Emergency Regulations 2002).

 

Reference

 

Write the title in italics followed by a full stop. Add the year in brackets then write ‘SI’ and give the statutory instrument number followed by a full stop. Write the place of publication, a colon, then the publisher.
